If you’ve attended our bi-weekly Saturday breakfast at Fat Nat’s Eggs in St. Anthony you know it’s a great location for us. But it’s not without its challenges. Given the exploding popularity of DMR we’ve seemingly outgrown our location at Fat Nat’s. We now regularly see 10+ attendees and run out of room. The solution? We’ve found a new location we want to test out!
Why are we changing to a new location?
- We’ve outgrown our location at Fat Nat’s Eggs
- It’s noisy at Fat Nat’s and communicating across the entire table is next impossible
- It can get busy early which forces the group to leave the table.
Where is the new test location and when is the test breakfast?
We’re going to try a new location for a special breakfast on June 3rd, 2023. As usual, the hosts will arrive at 7 a.m. but attendees can come any time before 10 a.m. It will be held at Hyvee in Brooklyn Park, MN inside their Wahlburgers eatery.
The address is 9409 Zane Ave Brooklyn Park, MN 55443. Simply enter in the main door and hang a right and you’ll see the restaurant. Tell them your with Minnesota DMR and they’ll show you to the table.
It’s a quiet spot with a huge table for us — including plenty of table space for laptops and outlets for charging computers. There is breakfast available — of course!
We hope to see you on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at Hyvee in Brooklyn Park on Zane Ave. Come judge for yourself if its a better location for our DMR breakfasts moving forward.
See you there!
Hello, I have been a ham since the early 1990’s. I was persuaded to by a DMR radio. I do not know the first thing about this radio and am looking for a group to assist me. Respectfully, Art – K6AFW
Arthur, these breakfasts are a great way to meet people and learn something about DMR. However if you really want to know more about DMR as a whole, check out one of the upcoming DMR tranning classes.
